As a folk musician and ethnomusicologist Soma is one of the most active members of the young generation in his fields in Hungary as well as on the international scene. 

As a player of Hungarian Ethnic Flutes and Accordion he has been invited by various folk ensembles to perform, including Buda Folk Band (2008-2017), Tűz Lángja (2003 -), Fanfara Complexa (2010 -), Enyedi Ágnes és a Bandárium (2017 -), Enyedi – Salamon Quartet (2016 ), Erdőfű zenekar (2016 -), Magos együttes (2017 -).
