Application Checklist

Applicants for the MA Course must submit the following:

  • completed application form (download here: ma_applicationform)
  • detailed curriculum vitae
  • motivation letter
  • photocopy of highest school certificate(s)/degree with English translation
  • copy of academic transcripts translated into English (if any)
  • photocopy of your passport
  • proof of English proficiency (only for those students whose first language is not English)
  • two photos of passport size (upon arrival to Kecskemét the latest)

Application deadline: 31 March each year

However, applicants are kindly asked to send the applications at their earliest convenience so that necessary arrangements can be made and applicants can be informed of acceptance in time.

Notification of acceptance will be sent out no later than 15 June each year.

If you do not have a Gmail address you can also apply online for the BA or MA Courses through this other form - in this case you can send the remaining application documents to kodaly.institute.online@gmail.com or kodaly [dot] office [at] gmail [dot] com.

INTRODUCTORY COURSE:

  • completed application form and questionnaire
  • curriculum vitae focusing on musical and professional background
  • university transcripts or copy of highest school certificate
  • motivation letter written in English by the applicant
  • the names of two referees with their email addresses
  • English language certificate (only for those students whose first language is not English)
  • demonstration video of the applicant’s piano and vocal performance (acceptable digital formats: mp4 or mpeg4 files submitted either on DVD or USB stick or by web link/url)
  • two photos of passport size (upon arrival to Kecskemét the latest)

HIGHER EDUCATION STUDIES:

  • completed application form and questionnaire
  • curriculum vitae focusing on musical and professional background
  • university transcripts or copy of highest school certificate
  • motivation letter written in English by the applicant
  • one reference letter written in English or translated into English from the original language of the reference letter
  • English language certificate (only for those students whose first language is not English)
  • demonstration video of the applicant’s piano and vocal performance: one art song and one piano piece freely chosen from the so called common-practice period (acceptable digital formats: mp4 or mpeg4 files submitted either on DVD or USB stick or by web link/url)
  • two photos of passport size (upon arrival to Kecskemét the latest)

DIPLOMA IN KODÁLY MUSIC PEDAGOGY:

  • completed application form and questionnaire
  • curriculum vitae focusing on musical and professional background
  • university transcripts or copy of highest school certificate
  • motivation letter written in English by the applicant
  • one reference letter written in English or translated into English from the original language of the reference letter
  • English language certificate (only for those students whose first language is not English)
  • demonstration video of the applicant’s piano and vocal performance: one art song and one piano piece freely chosen from the so called common-practice period, the piano piece has to be performed by memory, the art song has to be performed with the applicant’s own piano accompaniment (acceptable digital formats: mp4 or mpeg4 files submitted either on DVD or USB stick or by web link/url)
  • two photos of passport size (upon arrival to Kecskemét the latest)
