Visit the Institute

During the renovation project the small Kodály Lifework exhibition at the old monastery building (Kéttemplom köz) can be visited till the end of May, 2019.
Opening hours of the exhibition: Mon-Fri: 9-16, Sat-Sun: 10-18, closed on national holidays.

The Library and Archives in the monastery building are closed.

Guided tours with video or for music professionals are available in the new location of the Institute.

Address of the new location of the Institute: 6000 Kecskemét, Kálvin tér 1. (in the same building as the Ráday Museum of the Calvinist Church)

 

 

 

Entrance fee to the exhibition showing the lifework of Zoltán Kodály is 150 HUF

 

Guided Tours without Video

Besides the exhibition area, this short tour includes visits to parts of the Institute - such as the concert hall - not normally open to the public.
Fee: 3810 HUF for a group of minimum 10 people

 

Guided Tours with Video

Besides the exhibition area, this tour includes visits to parts of the Institute - such as the concert hall - not normally open to the public and watching a film about the Institute and its activities.
Fee: 19050 HUF for a group of minimum 10 people

 

Guided Tours for Music Professionals

This is an extended version of the Guided Tour with Video with an additional lecture on the Kodály's concept of music education.
Fee: 31750 HUF for a group of minimum 10 people
