Bertalan Péter Robotka

Bertalan Robotka was born in 1999, in Esztergom, Hungary.

He graduated from the Liszt Academy, Budapest in 2023 as a student of Balázs Kecskés and András Kemenes.

In the academic year 2023-24 he completed the advanced postgraduate study programme of the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire under the guidance of John Thwaites and Pascal Nemirovski as a winner of the scholarship of the Weingarten Memorial Trust.

From 2024 he is a student of the doctoral school of the Liszt Academy, Budapest. His topic of research is about the unfinished piano sonatas of Franz Schubert.

He has taken part as active participant in solo piano and chamber music masterclasses of Péter Kiss, László Borbély, Dénes Várjon, Barnabás Kelemen, Giovanni Guzzo, Davide Cabassi, Tom Beghin and Zoltán Fejérvári.

Bertalan Robotka has serious interest in the field of contemporary classical music: he participated in the Transparent Sound Festival, Budapest in three consecutive years (2021-2023).

He performed as soloist and chamber musician in several halls of Budapest:

FUGA – Budapest Center of Architecture, Budapest Music Center, Liszt Academy, MTA Institute for Musicology, Nádor Hall, House of Music Hungary, and the Auditorium of the Central European University.
