During the course of the last two years, several outstanding faculty members stepped down from their positions as professors or research scholars at the Kodály Institute. 

By the beginning of September 2021, most of our students, who decided to come to Hungary despite all the challenges and difficulties posed by the pandemic, arrived in Kecskemét.

The Kodály Institute of the Liszt Academy of Music has launched a thoroughly revised and restructured English-language edition of Pál Kardos’s unique book on choral intonation.

The latest publication of the Kodály Institute is a much-needed, long-awaited project by a former professor of our Institute, the internationally renowned Lilla Gábor. “Kodály’s Principles in the Perspective of the 21st Century – Based on Zoltán Kodály’s Writings and Speeches” is aimed for all those who wish to delve into the authentic sources: the complexity of Kodály’s vision in his own words.

The Kodály Institute held its Closing Ceremony of the Academic Year 2020-2021 on 28 May in the ceremonial hall of the Calvinist Old College and online. Due to the current COVID situation, only 20 people could attend personally, the rest could follow the ceremony via Zoom.
