Start of the 2021-22 Academic Year
By the beginning of September 2021, most of our students, who decided to come to Hungary despite all the challenges and difficulties posed by the pandemic, arrived in Kecskemét.
For them the orientation week began with general information. The students also took an oath by which they became official members of the Institute’s community. This was followed by days of placement tests which helped us forming the different study groups in the semester.
We, here at the Kodály Institute of the Liszt Academy, were very lucky and excited to start the 2021-22 Academic Year offline. And our excitement led us to the idea of organizing an unusual opening event outdoors, filled with games and music, sunshine and joy, Hungarian food and the smell of fresh bread, and nature. So we - students, faculty and staff - hopped on a bus and drove to the countryside, to the Vackor Vár Forest School in the woods near Kecskemét.
