László Eősze, a Ferenc Erkel as well as Széchenyi Award winning music historian, art writer and regular member of the Hungarian Academy of Arts passed away in the 97th year of his life. 

Out of more than fifty entries, Máté Balogh, a lecturer at the Institute and the Liszt Academy, won a special prize at this year's composers' competition held by the Central European String Quartet (CESQ).

The Closing Ceremony this year was held on Friday 29th May. The special situation due to COVID-19 did not let us meet in person; therefore, we had to celebrate this year’s end on Zoom meeting.

We are glad to announce that auditions for the undergraduate and graduate programmes for the 2020-2021 academic year have been successfully completed at the Institute.
