Musicologist László Eősze passed away

László Eősze, a Ferenc Erkel as well as Széchenyi Award winning music historian, art writer and regular member of the Hungarian Academy of Arts passed away in the 97th year of his life.
László Eősze was a musicologist, a pianist, a music writer, one of the defining figures Hungarian music publishing in the 20th century. In addition to his outstanding work on Zoltán Kodály, his international musicological rank have been based on his books and studies on Wagner and Verdi.
