On 14 September the Institute started its most challenging academic year in its history since it opened its gates 45 years ago. 

Fidelio’s editorial staff, with the help of renowned patrons, compiled a list of artists - Kult50 - who have performed significantly in their field in the previous year.

Dr Máté Balogh, faculty member of the Kodály Institute, received the prize of the Composers' Contest of the Salvatore Quasimodo International Poet Competition in Balatonfüred, Hungary.  

Edina Barabás, our excellent colleague who is also a teacher at the Kodály Institute's partner school, the Kós Károly Elementary School, was awarded by the Hungarian Academy of Sciences. 

The Hungarian ITBusiness association awarded the Move mi Music application of the Kodály Institute as the Best IT Development Project in its annual congress in Budapest.

It is with great pleasure that we recommend Dr Anna Dalos’s new monograph entitled Zoltán Kodály’s World of Music published by the University of California Press.

This summer the Kodály Seminar was organized online offering live remote and pre-recorded sessions on methodology, musicianship, choral music, singing-based music history, piano and voice pedagogy, and individual piano and voice master classes for more than 200 participants from more than 30 different countries.
