New addition to the Archives of the Institute

Erzsébet Szőnyi – retired leading professor of the Liszt Academy, holder of the Kossuth Prize, the Erkel Prize, the Apáczai Csere János Prize and the Bartók-Pásztory Prize, composer and music pedagogue, Artist of the Nation – decided to donate her music collection to the Kodály Institute.
Model school in the Calvinist Elementary School in Kecskemét

On 13 October, the Kodály Institute of the Liszt Academy signed a cooperation agreement with the Calvinist Elementary School in Kecskemét: as of the autumn of 2016, also Kodály’s home town will launch a model class applying the world-renowned music pedagogy combined with 21st-century methods.
Erasmus+ funding for the creative revisiting of music education practice

Within the framework of an international strategic cooperation programme, with the Liszt Academy as the lead organisation, partner institutions from Budapest, the Netherlands and Scotland will collaborate to carry out methodological improvements in music education based on the principles of the Kodály method.
