New addition to the Archives of the Institute

Erzsébet Szőnyi – retired leading professor of the Liszt Academy, holder of the Kossuth Prize, the Erkel Prize, the Apáczai Csere János Prize and the Bartók-Pásztory Prize, composer and music pedagogue, Artist of the Nation – decided to donate her music collection to the Kodály Institute.
The ceremony took place on 30 March, 2017 in the Concert Hall of the Institute where the rector of the Liszt Academy, former students and colleagues of Professor Szőnyi and the students of the Institute were present.
The collection comprises books, scores and documents related to Professor Szőnyi's music pedagogical work. The bequest is an excellent addition to the special collections of the Music Pedagogical Archives of the Kodály Institute.
