Thank you for your interest in the academic programmes of the Kodály Institute of the Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music.
As we have started preparations for the 2021-2022 academic year, I would like to share with you some useful information which will assist you in preparation for your study year at the Kodály Institute.

László Norbert Nemes, Director of the Kodály Institute of the Liszt Academy of Music is one of the recipients of the 2020 Artisjus Award for his outstanding pedagogical achievements in the field of classical music. Artisjus is the Hungarian Bureau for Copyright Protection whose primary objective - beyond acting as a legal body - is to recognize the outstanding performances and achievements of the contemporary musical artists of all genre. Congratulations to László!

Judit Rajk's Stolen Time album captures a small portion of the artist’s rich repertoire: Hungarian compositions from the 20th–21st century, through Zoltán Kodály's folk song arrangements to the large-scale monody of Barnabás Dukay, the short, resigned lamentation of Zoltán Jeney, and to the sensitive song on the death of children by Máté Balogh.

2020 was and still is a special year. It challenged us in many ways. We asked László Nobert Nemes, director of the Kodály Institute in Kecskemét, what their year looked like.

On 5 November, Kyoo-sok Choe, the Ambassador of the Republic of South Korea to Hungary, visited the Institute. During the walk in the monastery, he got acquainted with the history of the building, the antecedents of the establishment of the Institute.
