Start of the 2023-2024 academic year
On 8 September the 2023-2024 Academic Year officially began at the Institute in the BA, MA and non-degree training courses with students from 18 different countries.
We were happy to be able to organize the opening ceremony in the beautiful courtyard of the famous Bozsó Collection of Kecskemét.
Among the guests of the ceremony were Dr Csaba Kutnyánszky, Vice-President for Education of the Liszt Academy and Dr Peter Erdei, Founding Director of the Kodály Institute.
After the welcome speech of Dr Judit Rajk, new director of the Institute, students took the traditional oath to become official members of the Institute community. This was followed by performances of the Student Choir of the Institute, and finally a visit to the fantastic exhibitions of the Bozsó Collection.
As it has been the tradition for many years, prior to the opening ceremony, we held the orientation days for new students, with placement tests, auditions, lectures in Kodály philosophy, choir rehearsals.
