Special Week at the Institute
Every year, the Institute organises a 3-5-day long programme in February or March, when, instead of the regular lessons, students have the opportunity to enjoy a variety of special lectures, workshops and other activities that do not fit into the regular timetable.
The Special Week, held in February in 2018, offered several interesting lectures and workshops. Students could take part in the session entitled 'Improvisation in the Music Class' held by Mónika Benedek. Daniel Salbert talked about the adaptation of the Kodály Concept in the Netherlands. Nikhil Dally, founding teacher of the Stepping Notes School in Britain, held an interesting workshop on the Gamelan Ensemble. A book presentation and other lectures made the programme complete.
Thanks to the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia who freely lent the gamelan instruments to the Institute for this occasion.
