Kodály Seminar Offline - 18-29 July
Dear Colleagues and Musician Friends all around the world,
It is our pleasure to announce that the 31st International Kodály Seminar will take place in Kecskemét from July 18th till July 29th this summer.
We can’t wait to be together again and following various online learning experiences during the past two years, we can sing together again. Singing together live, all at the same time, in one place, reunited. We believe that we can create safe conditions for learning by strictly adhering to the current pandemic regulations in force in Hungary and Europe.
The Seminar offers the usual activities: choral singing, musicianship training, choral conducting classes and many interesting workshops. Participants will be able to choose from 16 different workshops offered by our international faculty. Details will be announced soon. Please check our website regularly.
In 2023 we shall launch a certification programme during the time of the Seminar called the International Kodály Musicianship Certificate Programme. This programme will be available at general and advanced levels awarding certificates at the end of each level after a successful closing exam. It will start with the 2-week booster seminar to be followed by a 20-week online tutoring offered throughout the academic year. The programme aims at offering an excellent learning opportunity for those who wish to develop their musicianship to the highest possible level and wish to deepen their methodological knowledge in a profound way. Interested participants can apply for Stages 1, 2 (general level) and 4 (advanced level). More information about the program will be available later on.
