Information regarding coronavirus

3/2020. SZ. (III.11.) PRESIDENT’S AND CHANCELLOR’S DECREE REGARDING THE OPERATIONAL RESTRICTIONS OF THE LISZT FERENC ACADEMY OF MUSIC

In order to practise effective preventative measures against the spread of coronavirus all over Europe, the Hungarian Government declared national emergency all over Hungary on 11 March 2020 on the basis of Government Decree 40/2020. (III. 11.).

In the terms of the above mentioned Government Decree the Academy decided on the followings:

From 11 March 2020 midnight until further notice all lessons (of higher education) and practising are cancelled, visiting the buildings of the Academy is prohibited for both students and teachers.

Furthermore, with the operational restrictions the Central Library, the Liszt Ferenc Memorial Museum and Research Centre, the Zoltán Kodály Memorial Museum, the Kodály Institute in Kecskemét, and the Bartók Béla Dormitory are also closed.

In terms of the Government Decree from 12 March 2020 all concerts of the Academy are cancelled until further notice.

We are kindly asking all teachers and students to continuously pay attention to the news and guidance coming from the Academy’s website.
