We are glad to announce that auditions for the undergraduate and graduate programmes for the 2020-2021 academic year have been successfully completed at the Institute. 

Experts of the Kodály HUB Team have been busy checking the songs and games uploaded to https://kodalyhub.com; the competition was very tight. 

The Kodály HUB Community is actively working on uploading musical materials to the Songbook and is about to reach 1000 records. If you haven’t registered yet, do it now quickly so you have access to our diverse, rich and remarkable Songbook with games, activities etc.

Plans are underway to renovate the monastery building of the Institute, implemented under the Modern Cities Programme of the Hungarian Government. In the first phase of the development, the roof construction and façade of the monastery are renovated by the contractor, Horváth Építőmester Zrt.

I am sure that through reading or listening to the English-language news you are all aware of the difficult situation that Hungary is currently facing similarly to all countries across Europe. This week we are doing our best to get ready for eight weeks of distant teaching. 

On 15 March, Hungary's national holiday, the Hungarian Government awarded the Hungary's Excellent Artist Award to Professor Erdei, founding director of the Kodály Institute. Congratulations!
